Hi, I'm Ben — a creative developer based in Southampton, UK. I've been designing and building for the web since 2007, which I'm choosing to frame as nearly two decades of experience rather than dwell on how old that makes me sound. 👋🏻

I work at Etch, where I take on a wide range of creative work. On the design side, the bulk of my work is website design, but as a generalist designer I'm comfortable working on whatever needs doing, from presentation templates and print layouts to everything in between. On the dev side, I specialise in front-end, turning designs into functioning web pages with clean, well-structured code. AI now plays a large part in my day-to-day workflows, for both design and dev, and I'm always looking at ways to improve my prompting skills.

When I'm not at a screen doing work or tinkering with code, I'm probably playing football, gaming, DJing, at the gym, or walking somewhere in the New Forest.
